As Jordan makes his trip to freedom, he would always be on the lookout for a man named Riggs. Riggs didn't like that one of his slaves escaped from him, and he would do anything to have Jordan back. Setting a big reward for Jordan to be captured, Riggs also hired slave catchers. Caleb and Libby did their best to protect Jordan from Riggs and the slave catchers.


In the midst of helping Jordan, Christina had a passenger that was very ill. Libby and Caleb got to know this ill young girl that they want to help her. Jordan, Libby, and Caleb go out on land to search out a doctor. As they made their trip for the doctor, Riggs and the slave catchers were right behind them. This is a second book from the series called The Riverboat Adventures or, in other words, Freedom Seekers.
