                                                    youth/ juvenile fiction/ ages 10 and up

As a young girl enters into a new life. Libby never knew what kind of adventure she would get herself into on the steamboat. Traveling up and down the Mississippi River is not ideal for a city girl that grew up in a big house. Neitherlless, she finds out that she gets stuck on a boat with a young cabin boy named Caleb. Who is altogether mysterious and annoying.

As Libby gets herself caught up in a dangerous mission with Caleb. Libby soon came to understand Caleb and becomes one of his closest friends. They have to work together to help Jordan escape from slavery. As they journey in the underground railroad, they always have to keep on the lookout for Jordans mean master and hired slave catchers. Would Jordan ever make it north to be free, or would they get caught?
