The Busy Homeschool Mom's Guide to... Daylight: written by Heidi St. John

Related mostly to homeschooled moms.

You are a teacher, a cheerleader, a taxi driver, a cooker, a snuggler, a booger cleaner ....... The list goes on and on. What are you? A Super Mom without a cape.

This book is great for all moms out there. But it is more specific to homeschool moms like me. After you are done reading this book you would go "OMG I'm not the only one.". Heidi St. John is a homeschool mom who has and is experiencing the same thoughts as many moms. She has tried so many things that ended up not working. Thoughts like I have ones in the blue moon. It would be great to stick those kids on that school bus for today as I drive home with grabby, sobbing kids in the back of my car. As I drive behind a school bus with kids waving at me. I put on a fake smile as I am boiling on the inside. I only think that but in actuality, I don't want my kids on that bus.

That's what I feel like when I make time for myself and leave my kids with my husband one day a month. (P.S. I actually can't make that flip. I just wish I could. Well, in my head I can.)
Heidi talks about how you should carve out some time for yourself. Like, go grab a cup coffee or call up a friend to go out for lunch. She gives you some hope, inspiration, and laughs as you read through her book. She will give you some tips from home organization to meal preps as you discover how to be free and enjoy your homeschool years. My favorite thing about homeschooling is when people ask my kids at 1 o'clock in the afternoonish "No school today for you, hah?" Then it gets awkward after we tell them "We are homeschooled and we are done." Silence, time to move on.
